Why are Eggersmann machines the best recycling option for businesses?
Following the agreement between Ascendum Maquinaria España and Eggersmann Recycling GmbH, professional recycling machines from the German brand are now available throughout Spain. These machines stand out for their robustness, high efficiency, and wide range of applications to optimize sustainability efforts across the entire country.
Eggersmann began to establish itself in the construction industry in 1951, and today it is part of a group of companies focused on recycling, composting, and construction. In 2008, the recycling and material processing division had grown enough to create a company dedicated solely to manufacturing recycling machinery and plants; thus, Eggersmann Recycling GmbH was born. Currently, the company develops several models of industrial recycling machinery, which we market in Spain through Ascendum, with our network of branches and our excellent after-sales service.
Eggersmann machinery types
As we have already mentioned, all Eggersmann machines are focused on recycling, but within this field there are multiple types of tasks that need to be performed with different machine models. Specifically, Eggersmann develops three kinds of machines:
-
Shredders: These are used to reduce recyclable material to the desired size, making its management much easier. This facilitates the sorting of residues and its subsequent cleaning and processing.
-
Screening Machines: These are used to filter the shredded material, thereby cleaning and separating different materials or different sizes of the same material.
-
Turners: Perhaps the most unique line in the brand, these are used for composting—that is, to obtain fertilizer from different types of waste. Once purified, this compost can be sold or used for one’s own purposes.
Eggersmann shredders
In the field of shredding, Eggersmann machinery stands out for the robustness of its models and the easy maintenance of its machines. Additionally, the brand offers two different types of shredding with its two machine models: TEUTON (with a single shredding rotor) and FORUS (with two rotors).
FORUS shredders
The FORUS machines, which stand out for their functionality and versatility, are more compact shredders capable of processing almost any type of material thanks to their asynchronous dual rotors. This means that a FORUS machine will never get jammed during shredding, as its rotors can operate at different directions and speeds to automatically resolve any issues.
Additionally, the machinery allows you to create your own shredding programs for different materials by customizing the rotor speed, rotation direction, and operating time, or to use one of the four predefined programs developed by the brand’s professionals to shred wood, green waste, household waste, construction debris, mattresses, glass, solar panels, and more. Within the FORUS line, there are two shredding models available: the FORUS F 25 (perfect for shredding more compact and fragile materials) and the FORUS F 38 (suitable for shredding more complex materials).
TEUTON shredders
On the other hand, we have the TEUTON shredder line, which features a single rotor but offers greater energy efficiency, minimal maintenance, and better control when defining the desired final grain size. Thanks to its wide range of applications, these are the most versatile shredders on the market, capable of shredding green waste, wood, roots, commercial waste, household waste, tires, bulky waste, and more. The TEUTON machines shred material using their rotor, which is over 3 meters long, and shafts that crush the material against the rotor to apply the maximum possible pressure.
Additionally, the TEUTON machines allow custom adjustment of the cutting distance to define the final grain size, with up to eleven different settings on the TEUTON Z 60 and six on the TEUTON Z 50. This configuration can be further improved with the optional installation of screening baskets to achieve even more precise sizing on both models in the range.
Eggersmann screeners
Eggersmann’s screening machines offer high efficiency and low fuel consumption, reducing operating costs and increasing screening precision. In this regard, Eggersmann has two screening lines: TERRA SELECT and STAR SELECT
TERRA SELECT screeners
Eggersmann’s TERRA SELECT screening machines are trommels that allow you to obtain two different types of material on their conveyor belts. The most notable feature of the TERRA SELECT is their screening drums, which are constructed from a single sheet of metal, making them easily interchangeable and adaptable to all kinds of needs. These trommels can screen recyclable material from 8 to 100 mm and can have square holes in a horizontal line, square holes in a vertical line, or round holes in a vertical line.
At the same time, TERRA SELECT drums are about 10% larger than the market average, which increases the performance of the TERRA SELECT T 50 (with screening capacity up to 150 m³ per hour) and the TERRA SELECT T 60 (with screening capacity up to 200 m³ per hour).
STAR SELECT screeners
To meet the needs of those who require even greater screening precision, at Ascendum Maquinaria España we also offer the STAR SELECT: a triple-output screening machine for obtaining coarse grain (from 60 mm to over 150 mm), medium grain (25 mm to 80 mm), and fine grain (from 0-15 mm to 25 mm).
With a screening capacity of up to 300 m³ per hour, the Star Select stands out as one of the best options on the market. Especially when considering the optional AIRFIX V 60 E accessory—a wind-based filtering tool that removes impurities from the final material to purify the finished product quickly and easily
Eggersmann turners
The last category of Eggersmann mobile industrial machinery is turners. In this area, the German brand offers the extensive BACKHUS machinery line for any composting job.
The main advantage of the BACKHUS turner line is its versatility. Thanks to their design, these machines can work with any type of material (green waste, biological waste, manure, wastewater, EFB, etc.) to convert it into fertilizer. In addition, the line features a wide range of machines to suit any need:
- BACKHUS A 30; the most compact turner for farms with a farmning focus and a 700 m3 per hour throughput.
- BACKHUS A 38; a turner with a better throughput of 1.500 m3 per hour focused on minimizing costs.
- BACKHUS A 45; the first mid-range turner that stands out thanks to its amazing throughput of 3.000 m3 per hour.
- BACKHUS A 50 y BACKHUS A 55; these turners cover a great number of widths up to 5.5 meters and can achieve a turning throughput of up to 4.000 and 4.500 m3 per hour.
- BACKHUS A 60 y BACKHUS A 65; the start of high-end turners with more power with an amazing throughput of up to 5.000 and 5.500 m3 per hour, all while being small enough to work in closed spaces.
- BACKHUS A 75; the biggest turner in the market with a throughput of up to 7.000 m3 per hour.
In summary, Eggersmann machines offer versatile and comprehensive solutions for all industrial recycling needs. This advantage is even greater when they work hand in hand with other quality machines such as Volvo wheel loaders or other Eggersmann equipment.
